A serving Greater Manchester Police detective today (Thursday) denied three sex offences when he appeared in court.
Detective Sergeant Richard Mills appeared in the dock at Liverpool Crown Court and entered not guilty pleas to the allegations against him.
The charges against the 40-year-old involve him allegedly sexually assaulting a female between January 1 and December 31, 2014, sexually assaulting her between January 22 and May 31, 2015, and sexually assaulting her on September 8, 2016.

Judge Anil Murray further remanded DS Mills, of Oakley Way, Wardle, Rochdale, on bail to await his trial, estimated to last six days, beginning on July 8.
The officer, who works at Nexus House in Ashton-under-Lyne, has been suspended from duty.
