Ben Shephard is usually seen looking suited and booted when he appears on national TV in the mornings on Good Morning Britain. But the presenter was rendered unrecognisable when he took on a tough challenge over the weekend.
Ben joined thousands of other participants at Cholmondeley Castle in Cheshire for the latest Tough Mudder race. Saturday's event was completely sold out, attracting more than 10,000 people who wanted to take part in the "world's best obstacle course and mud run" on what was the hottest day of the year.
The Tipping Point host was seen covered top to toe in mud as he was among those who bravely took on monstrous obstacles scattered throughout challenging courses.

As well as being pictured at the event, Ben took to Instagram to share his own snaps where only his bright white smile could be seen among the brown sludge he was covered in. "What. A. Day! A picture paints a thousand words - these pics paint some seriously filthy words!!" he started the caption of his post.
"I was invited to be a part of the @stablelives team (a brilliant charity I put in my book #HumbleHeroes) all 120 of them, to take on @toughmudder in Cheshire. The weather was sensational, the mud ridiculous, the laughter, smiles tears and team work from everyone @stablelives was just joyous.
He added: "I bloody loved every filthy, sweaty, grubby, hilarious, slippy, sloppy step of it. I can’t recommend @toughmudder enough especially if you join the @stablelives team! Now I will spending the rest of the weekend trying to get clean!! Picture credit to @speedy0303 thanks for a brilliant day!!"
And those behind the charity were quick to praise Ben
