Gogglebox star reveals Ant and Dec ignored step-dad Chris Packham's animal abuse claims

It seems that whilst a new stint on Celebrity Gogglebox with step-dad Chris Packham, 62, is a fun step into more telly gigs, there’s no chance you’ll catch Megan McCubbin on reality TV anytime soon - especially one in particular.
The Springwatch presenter, is an advocate for wildlife and nature and is completely against the ethics of hit ITV show, I’m a Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here.
In an exclusive chat with OK! she said: "They do a lot of things that I would class as animal abuse. "Eating bugs alive is awful! They could do some really funny challenges that don’t have to involve animal exploitation." The 28 year old admitted that a lack of change in the show’s ‘entertainment’ isn’t through a lack of trying, telling us her step-dad, Chris, has tried on numerous occasions to reach out to the stars and creators of the show.
She said: "Chris is a massive advocate for changing the show and has sent a lot of open letters to Ant and Dec saying ‘would you consider stopping animal abuse on your show?’ but it has been ignored every single time. "I boycott that show - I don’t follow it, and I don’t watch it." And it’s not just the eating challenges that get to Megan, with other activities, she believes, pushing the wrong message.
"Even when contestants are in pools with tiny caimans and they have their mouths taped up. People should be going in to respect animals, not to encourage fear around them.
"Until they change that messaging I don’t want anything to do with it." OK! has contacted Ant and Dec and ITV reps for comment.
