Kerry Katona signs up to be Gogglebox star in surprise TV move

Former Atomic Kitten singer Kerry Katona has signed up to appear in the next series of Celebrity Gogglebox in a surprise TV move. Kerry, 43, will be among the new line up of stars The Sun reported. However, there is a twist as she will appear on the edition of the show which airs in Ireland rather than the one which appears on Channel 4.
Gogglebox Ireland started showing in 2016, three years after the original version debuted in the UK. Kerry and her family have strong links to Ireland due to her ex-husband Brian McFadden who was born and raised in Dublin before moving to the UK. Kerry and Brian officially tied the knot in 2002 and separated just four years later in 2006 after sharing two children together.
Brian and Kerry share two children, Molly, 22, and Lily-Sue, 20, who have visited Ireland countless times, and Molly even went to school there at one point. OK! Discussing the idea on the Getting Lippy podcast, Kerry said: “I want to be a motivational speaker and visit prisons – God, I’ll probably know half of them!” The reality star continued: “I want to help people. I should be dead, but I’m a grafter and I’m proud of myself.” Kerry, who has had a publicly turbulent past with a drug addiction and suffering from bipolar disorder, said she feels like she is “here for a reason” and to give people the hope that she feels she never had.
