A close friend of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle who shared an image of their son with Princess Diana on Coronation day has been accused of "shading" the newly crowned monarch.
Photographer Misan Harriman posted an image of Prince Archie touching a photo of Princess Diana to mark his fourth birthday yesterday - the same day King Charles celebrated his Coronation.
The lovely tribute to Archie was a screengrab taken from the Sussexes' Netflix series 'Harry & Meghan' in which a moving moment shows Meghan showing her son the photograph.
Posting the photo of baby Archie looking at an image of his grandmother, Princess Diana, Harriman said: "Wishing you the happiest of birthdays Archie." As reported in the Mirror, the heartwarming clip in the Netflix show captures Meghan showing Archie the photo and saying "that's your grandma".
But Harriman's choice of photo was met with an accusation of him "shading" the Royal Family on Coronation day. Commenting on the photo, one person said: "I see the subtle shade."
Other responses to the tribute were much more positive and one person said it was "such a sweet pic".
"Happy Birthday Archie," another person wrote. "We love you and your family. We hope to see pictures soon. Blessings. We Celebrate you. Today is great because of you."
Another added: "Happy beautiful Archie - today is also my daughter’s birthday today. Such an adorable photograph... My eyes are on lovely Harry on this coronation day. His beautiful mum would be so proud of him."
