Former BBC Strictly Come Dancing favourite names who will win - but it won't be the 'best dancer'

Former Strictly Come Dancing star Vincent Simone has named who he thinks will win - but he says they're not the 'best dancer'. The Italian professional dancer, who appeared on the hit dance show from 2006 until 2012, has been casting an eye over this year's competition.
The BBC One dance contest is set to hit Blackpool on Saturday night (November 18) as per the show's annual tradition with the seven remaining couples set to perform in the iconic Tower Ballroom.
But before they go, Vincent has been using his expertise to predict who he thinks will win the 2023 run of the competition ahead of week nine and as the battle for the Glitterball trophy continues.

"From what I saw in Saturday’s show, I would say Ellie [Leach] and Vito [Coppola]," the 44-year-old told ICE36. "I think Vito is doing a tremendous job, technically and in every way. My second choice would be Nigel [Harman] and Katya [Jones]. Without a shadow of a doubt, and this is where the controversy happens in terms of allowing people with a dance background onto the show."
He explained: "Layton [Williams] is the best dancer out of all of the celebrities. You may as well give him the trophy today. Full stop. For me, people like Layton, are great ambassadors for showcasing the show. They always deliver great performances, which is something that some of the pedestrian dancers can’t deliver.
