BBC Strictly Come Dancing fans ask 'is that Hollywood star?' as they're distracted by famous face in audience

Strictly Come Dancing fans were left double checking they weren't seeing things as they spotted a very famous face in the audience. The BBC One dance contest returned to screens on Saturday night (December 2) for the all-important quarter-finals.
Not only was it crunch time in the 2023 run of the competition, it was also the much-loved Musicals week. Unfortunately, the five remaining couples in the contest were reduced to four after Nigel Harman was forced to withdraw through injury.
He and his professional dance partner had been due to perform a Charleston to Step In Time from Disney’s Mary Poppins with his partner Katya in week eleven with just weeks to go until the 2023 final.

A BBC spokesperson said on Saturday afternoon: "Unfortunately Nigel has sustained an injury which means he is unable to perform in tonight’s show and has had to withdraw from Strictly." The Casualty star suffered a rib injury, the broadcaster later said and Nigel confirmed he ended up in A&E as he and Katya made a special appearance on the live show.
But as the saying goes, the show must go on, and the four remaining couples performed for the judges as their was no public vote and there will be no elimination this weekend meaning the judges' scores will be carried over into next weekend's semi-finals.
At the beginning of the show, host Claudia Winkleman said: “As you can see we only have four couples. Unfortunately, Nigel has sustained an injury which means he is unable to perform in tonight’s show and has had to withdraw from the competition.”
