Fiorentina would be open to letting Sofyan Amrabat leave on loan this summer so long as the deal includes an option to buy, according to reports in Italy.
Manchester United continue to be linked with the Morocco midfielder, with manager Erik ten Hag keen to strengthen his midfield options. Calls for further arrivals intensified amid news that Mason Mount will be out until the international break after suffering an injury against Tottenham.
But despite their long-standing interest in Amrabat, United are yet to make a formal offer for their target. The club are thought to be working under financial constraints, making a permanent offer hard to negotiate.
The transfer window closes at 11pm on Friday and, according to Corriere dello Sport, Fiorentina have softened their stance as they look to get some sort of deal over the line.

Amrabat has long been tipped to leave the Italian side and is thought to be keen on an Old Trafford move. The 27-year-old has been absent from the squad for his side's last two games.
Elsewhere, Football Insider reports that any move for Brentford striker Ivan Toney will set United back at least £100m. Ten Hag's side have been linked with a sensational mid-season move for Toney, who is suspended until January 17 after being charged with 232 breaches of the FA's betting rules.
However Thomas Frank's side value their man at £100m and are not likely to budge. Tottenham are also said to be interested.
The transfer window is in full swing and United have got their hands on three players well in advance of the September 1 deadline, with Rasmus Hojlund joining Mason Mount and Andre Onana at Old Trafford.
