A family-friendly festival dedicated to the 90s is to be held in Bury featuring a range of popular tribute acts.
Loaded Festival will host a varied line-up of tribute bands covering hits by Oasis, the Happy Mondays, Daft Punk and The Prodigy, as well as local singers, DJs and entertainers. Tom Hingley, frontman of Inspiral Carpets, will also take to the stage at the festival.
The event, held at Sedgley Park Rugby Club in Whitefield on May 4, has been organised by the team behind the popular Glaston-BURY festival, which is held across the borough with a number of stages and venues. Since its launch in 2008, Glaston-BURY has raised more than £250,000 for Bury Hospice.

“We’ve tried to look at what else is going on in Bury and do something different. We certainly didn’t want to take anything away from the other events in the area. We thought we’d go for a 90s themed event, it’s a tribute to that era and the line-up is obviously relevant to that.”
Chris said the intention behind Loaded Festival is to ultimately get to grips with holding a large-scale festival event ahead of something very special in the pipeline for next year.
