Facundo Pellistri admits it was 'hard' to pick up an injury in the early stages of Manchester United's campaign but feels it was a good season overall at Old Trafford after making several appearances in the first team.
Pellistri has been at United since 2020 when he was bought under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's reign from Penarol in his native Uruguay. Two loan spells to Deportivo Alaves have since followed for the winger.
It has not been until this season that the 21-year-old has featured for United and broken into first team thinking in earnest. Overall the winger made 10 appearances for the Old Trafford club in all competitions, without finding the back of the net.
However, it took longer than Pellistri would have wanted this season to feature after picking up an ankle problem in pre-season. He suffered the issue towards the end of the club's friendly match against Atletico Madrid.

Though Pellistri admits it was a setback to his campaign, he believes overall it has been a successful season on both an individual and collective basis. He is pleased to have ticked off his first full year of being in United's first team squad on a regular basis.
Speaking to the club website, Pellestri said: "Against Atletico, I suffered an injury in my ankle and, of course, it was almost at the start of the season. So that is hard, but we are exposed to that. We play football, so injuries are all the time there. I focused on the recovery with the physios and the medical staff and, well, I'm now fit.
"Well, it was a good season. And, luckily, we could classify for the Champions League. That was the main focus we had in pre-season. Also, we could win the Carabao
