Centre forward is an obvious one and a priority position for United to reinforce this summer. Indeed, United have been operating on the assumption that Spurs will not sanction a sale of Kane this summer, even though he has only a year left to run on his contract there and will walk away for free 12 months from now. Whether that position from either club changes in the months to come remains to be seen.
Central midfield is another area of Ten Hag's squad which is being targeted for an upgrade. United have agreed personal terms with Chelsea midfielder Mason Mount over a potential move to Old Trafford, though a transfer fee is yet to be reached with the Stamford Bridge club for a player whose contract will expire in mid-2024.
