Netflix’s mind-bending anthology series Black Mirror has soared to the top of Nielsen’s Streaming Top 10 list for the week of June 12 to June 18, following the Season 6 release.

BreAnna Bell “Black Mirror” is on top of Nielsen’s Streaming Top 10 chart following its Season 6 debut. After premiering on June 15, the series opened to nearly 1.4 billion viewing minutes during the June 12-18 viewing window. Thus, dethroning previous leader “Avatar: The Way of Water” which fell to third place on the chart following an impressive opening week on streaming. The James Cameron sequel film joined Max and Disney+ on June 7, and was watched for 1.9 billion minutes in its first five days of availability. “S.W.A.T” took second place on the overall list for Hulu, Netflix, and Paramount+ with 1.2 billion viewing minutes — pushing its billion-minute week record to four weeks — and ranked first on the acquired programs list etching ahead of “NCIS” by 500 million viewing minutes. Another program that’s available for streaming on both Netflix and Paramount+, the title landed on the overall streaming programs chart at No. 7.

Daniel Goldberg, who produced all three The Hangover films, Space Jam, Old School and many others and co-wrote movies including the Bill Murray comedies Stripes and Meatballs, died today in Los Angeles. He was 74.

Though the series’ position on the chart improved, views were actually down compared to last week, when it took second place with 15.5 million views in its first four days of availability.

The sixth season of “Black Mirror,” Charlie Brooker’s award-winning anthology series that Netflix turned into an original in 2016, might be the most inconsistent in the show’s history. The announcement was made by star Arnold Schwarzenegger on Saturday at the Netflix Tudum event. “Fubar” debuted its eight-episode first seasonon May 25, and follows a C.I.A. operative Luke Brunner (Schwarzenegger) who discovers a family secret that pulls him back into the field and delays his retirement plans. Following the May premiere, “Fubar” opened with 88.94 million hours viewed in its first four days of availability. Alongside Schwarzenegger’s return, “Fubar” also stars Monica Barbaro as Emma Brunner, Fortune Feimster as Roo, Jay Baruchel as Carter, Aparna Brielle as Tina, Andy Buckley as Donnie, Barbara Eve Harris as Dot, Gabriel Luna as Boro, Milan Carter as Barry, Fabiana Udenio as Tally and Travis Van Winkle as Aldon. Terminator films – has been announced to star in the fifth and final season of Stranger Things.The news came at this year’s TUDUM event in Brazil, where Netflix showed off a suite of news about its upcoming original projects. As noted by The Hollywood Reporter, Hamilton appeared at the event via video link, and was introduced by her Terminator co-star Arnold Schwarzenegger (who attended in-person to announce a new season of his show FUBAR).At the time of writing, it’s unknown who Hamilton will play in Stranger Things, or how significant her role will be to the overall narrative.Back in February, Finn Wolfhard hinted that season five of Stranger Things could be released in 2025.
