A European club is reportedly interested in bringing Julian Alvarez in on loan from Manchester City this summer.
The Blues signed Alvarez from River Plate back in January but the striker remained at River for the remainder of the Premier League season. Alvarez will be joined at the Etihad this summer by Norway international Erling Haaland.
However, Foot Mercato now claim that Marseille are interested in signing Alvarez on loan until the end of the 2022/23 season. At this stage, it is believed to be 'just an interest' and City have not yet received an offer from the Ligue 1 outfit.

Elsewhere, Ilkay Gundogan is reportedly 'open' to a new challenge. The Athletic claim that the German midfielder isn't ruling out the prospect of leaving City this summer, though he's not believed to be 'desperate' for a move.
Gundogan played a starring role in City's dramatic comeback win on the final day of the season, with his two late goals ensuring Pep Guardiola's side retained their Premier League crown. With just one year remaining on his deal at the Etihad, it remains to be seen whether City will cash in, offer him a new deal or allow him to leave on a free next year.
