Manchester City have distanced themselves from reports that they are considering a move for Arsenal star Bukayo Saka.
Saka, 20, has emerged as one of the most exciting young talents in the Premier League at the Emirates after another productive season. He is also already a fixture in the England squad under Gareth Southgate and can expect to go to the World Cup at the end of the year.
Arsenal are in the process of trying to secure Saka's club future. The rising star is entering the final two years of his contract in North London, and a failure to agree terms this summer would leave the Gunners vulnerable to having to accept a knock-down price next summer rather than risk losing the player on a free in 2024.

Saka ticks many of the boxes of the sort of player City would target to improve their squad, and they have taken advantage of contract situations before to get a better deal for players. However, sources at the Etihad have indicated that - contrary to reports - the forward is not in their plans for this or subsequent transfer windows.
City have already added Erling Haaland and Julian Alvarez to their attack for next season with the intention of refreshing their attack for years to come, and are also pursuing a midfielder this summer. The chairman has promised at least one more addition on top of that, with left-back thought to be an area of focus - not least because of the interest from Arsenal in Oleksandr Zinchenko.
