Erika Kennair & Pam Healey Join The Mediapro Studio As Spanish Producer Ramps Up U.S. Plans

EXCLUSIVE: The Mediapro Studio, which is behind series such as HBO’s The Young Pope and The New Pope, has bolstered its nascent English-language team with two new executive hires.
The company has hired Erika Kennair and Pam Healey to oversee scripted and unscripted content, based out of LA.
Kennair is named Head of Scripted Content, while Healey is Head of Unscripted Content.
Kennair was most recently President of Malala Yousafzai’s production company Extracurricular, where she oversaw projects such as Apple’s The Last of the Sea Women and Oscar-nominated short film Stranger At the Gate. She was previously SVP, Development at Berlanti Productions, where she produced series including The Flight Attendant for HBO Max, You for Netflix and Prodigal Son for Fox.
Healey recently left Wheelhouse Entertainment’s Spoke Studios, as revealed by Deadline. She spent the last two years as President of the Buying Beverly Hills producer. Before that, she spent nearly seven at Warner Bros.’ Shed Media, where she was general manager.
The hires comes as JC Acosta, the former Paramount exec who is Head of The Mediapro Studio U.S./Canada, has set his leadership for the business. Kennair and Healey report to Acosta.
Elsewhere, Ari Tan has been named Head of Strategy and Operations, Rob Haiat is Head of Commercial, Leslie Cohen is Head of Global Acquisitions and Juan Pablo Santos is SVP Content & Business.
It comes ahead of the fledgling firm’s upcoming fall slate of English-language projects, which was announced by CEO Laura Fernández Espeso.
