Emmerdale's Suzy star Martelle Edinborough has revealed that fans will be "very shocked" when they discover Leyla Harding's link to her character. In upcoming scenes, Leyla is left rattled to see Suzy and Vanessa Woodfield together in the pub as the latter asks how they know each other to which Suzy explains it is through work.
Leyla, who has been making a series of mysterious phone calls in recent episodes, is left clearly shaken by Suzy's arrival and the latter promises to keep her secrets... And now Suzy star Martelle has teased details of the upcoming storyline, revealing that soap watchers will be "very shocked" when they learn the truth.

It's gonna be very good so that’s all I'm gonna say." Teasing Leyla and Suzy's link further, she added: "Yeah and I think that is what is gonna shock viewers the most, and what is to come. It’s very exciting stuff and I’m looking forward to playing out the scenes." Martelle also revealed that it could ruin Suzy and Vanessa's budding romance, she said: "I think it could have the potential to ruin things just from a palace of honesty, but time will tell, we will see..."
