Emmerdale fans 'work out' Aaron and Robert reunion twist after Cain hospital horror

Emmerdale viewers may have worked out a twist in Aaron Dingle's (played by Danny Miller) ongoing storyline on the ITV soap, as things reached new heights in his feud with Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) during tonight's instalment, 26 January. And after one particular scene, some fans think a twist in the plot could lead to the troubled character's reunion with Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley), his ex-husband. Following Aaron and Cain's showdown at the garage during Thursday night's episode, the latter was suffering from the lasting effects of a head injury as a result of the fight.
While Moira Dingle (Natalie J. Robb) and Mackenzie Boyd (Lawrence Robb) did their best to try and talk some sense into Aaron and convince him to let things go, they didn't realise the extent of what had happened between the pair. When Cain came to the scrap yard in a bid to finish his and Aaron's altercation once and for all, things took a turn and he collapsed instead.
Aaron showed he hasn't totally turned to the dark side yet and called for an ambulance, but as Cain remained unconscious, Moira delivered an ominous warning to her nephew-in-law at the hospital. "If he doesn't wake up, you're going to prison," she warned at first. "And if he does, you're a dead man," the concerned wife and mum-of-three angrily spat, leaving Aaron rattled.
Moira's words means Aaron could end up in prison with Robert, and the pair would be reunited under incredibly difficult circumstances. If Cain recovers from his ordeal, there's also a chance that soap bosses will bring back Robert as part of Aaron's redemption arc, or to save him from himself.
