Ahead of this dramatic turn of events, Liam Cavanagh (Jonny McPherson) is stunned when Wendy Posner (Susan Cookson) arrives at his house to hand in her resignation, having decided that it is best if they don’t work together any longer, following the discovery of their affair. Then Bob, already wound up following a run-in with Archie and his football outside the B&B, spots Wendy and Liam leaving Tenants cottage together, and assuming the affair is still going on he punches Liam in the face.
