EastEnders' Karen Taylor star Lorraine Stanley struggling with illness following soap axe

Actress Lorraine Stanley reveals she has been hit with a nasty illness.
The former EastEnders' star, known for playing Karen Taylor in the BBC soap, said that she has been battling a sickness bug and so has her daughter, Nancy.
The 47 year old shared the news to her fans on social media saying that despite being sick, she has celebrated a personal milestone. Lorraine announced that she was trying to quit smoking and shared that she has now gone 10 days without vaping and three without nicotine patches. She said: "S***gate in our gaff...must be a bug, we're all down, Nancy's been sick too, bless her, she's such a trooper.
"Taking my mind off vaping though, so every cloud...10 days without vaping 3 days without any nicotine patches. "To be honest it's doable... it's testing at times but I'm doing it, I can't believe I'm doing it." Lorraine’s character, Karen Taylor, left the Square at the end of last year after she stole Phil Mitchell’s money.
However viewers know the full truth, that it was her son Keanu who put the plan in motion and Karen decided to protect him by taking full responsibility. Karen's final episode saw her and Mitch, along with grandchildren Mia and Mackenzie and Mitch's daughter Bailey pack their belongings – and Phil's £50,000. Recently, however, Karen decided to head back to Albert Square briefly in search of her son Keanu Taylor who was killed on Christmas Day.
She later left for good without any real answers and suspecting he had gone on the run. As well as updating fans about her journey to quit smoking, Lorraine also keeps fans updates on her weight loss journey.
Taking to her Instagram stories last year, she shared a picture, flexing her muscles after a workout. She said: "I’m feeling fantastic!!!,
