Bruce then added: "Come and join the wrestlers and me as Les 18th February 2024 for my debut with SOVPRO." Bruce revealed his new career move occurred almost accidentally. He told The Guardian he was simply meant to make a cameo as Les, but things "got out of hand". He told the publication that organisers had asked him: "You don't mind getting knocked about in the ring a bit, do you?" Bruce rose to fame on Coronation Street after landing the role of Les Battersby in 1997.
