EastEnders' George Knight and Cindy Beale 'seal' affair with tender kiss in betrayal

George Knight hasn’t had an easy time of it of late in EastEnders, and things are about to get even tougher as his estranged son, Junior, is about to make his first appearance in Albert Square.The pair have a complicated father-son relationship, and Junior’s arrival doesn’t come at the best time for his dad, as George is currently spiralling following the death of his adoptive mum Gloria on 11 April. The EastEnders team aren’t revealing much about Junior’s past and his relationship with his dad just yet, although it is guaranteed to be a shocking reunion.

Alex Ritman Anthony Hopkins is taking on yet another iconic figure, this time from the world of music. The stage and screen legend — a two-time Academy Award winner — is attached to star as George Frideric Handel in “The King of Covent Garden,” set during the period the famed opera composer worked on his choral masterpiece “Messiah.” Embankment Films has launched global pre-sales on the project, which is scheduled for a late fall 2025 release.

After Deadline broke the news last week that New Line was in pole position top land the package A Chris Farley Story, the studio made it official today having landed the biopic on the legendary comedian.  Paul Walter Hauser and to be directed by Josh Gad, with Lorne Michaels and Erin David producing via Broadway Video. Sources say the package sold in the $2.5 million dollar range.

EastEnders fans are convinced they've sussed out Stevie Mitchell's real game plan, after the Mitchell patriarch made a surprise reappearance in Walford on Monday night. Steve, played by Guy Ritchie star Alan Ford, arrived on Albert Square in the soap's latest episode, leaving his estranged son Billy Mitchell both stunned and angry over the unexpected visit.The character first appeared earlier this year at Aunt Sal's funeral, and quickly highlighted the frosty relationship he had with his son, after having surrendered him into care as a child.

Michelle Collins has paid tribute to her late mother Mary, three years after she passed away. Sharing that this was the "worst day" of her life, the EastEnders actress shared a photo of her mum on Instagram. Captioning the photo, she wrote: "#3years #today #lostyou #mummy #mary, was probably one of the worst days of my life, grief is a funny thing isn’t it it completely takes over you and slowly moves away it doesn’t completely go but it’s always just there hovering ……...

Junior Andre has just returned from a trip to Australia with his sister Princess, as the teenagers visited their paternal grandparents, Thea and Savvas.Thea, who is mum to their dad Peter Andre, has been diagnosed with vascular dementia and Parkinson’s disease. And now they have returned home, 18 year old Junior has shared a post to Instagram from the trip, leaving fans emotional as he included a sweet video with his elderly grandmother.

Bobby Brazier has put rumours to rest and reportedly signed on the dotted line for another year on EastEnders, after much speculation about his future on the show. The 20 year old actor and model, who became a hot property following his stint on Strictly Come Dancing last year, was rumoured to be considering leaving the iconic BBC soap. However, he's decided to stick around as Freddie Slater, much to the relief of show bosses who see him as a rising star in Walford.
