EastEnders favourite Patrick Trueman (played by Rudolph Walker) is set to make a triumphant return to Albert Square in upcoming scenes. However, it appears that there are many revelations that will shock him. While Patrick was away, Yolande Trueman (portrayed by Angela Wynter) formed a close friendship with Pastor Clayton (Howard Saddler), but though things took a turn when he revealed a darker side to him.
When Yolande tried to call out his behaviour, the Pastor punished her by putting his wife in charge of her charity food truck project. However, recent scenes saw the pair repair their friendship. But it's when Yolande is helping to organise an upcoming charity fundraiser with Pastor Clayton, when Patrick finally makes his grand return.
While the par are excited to catch up after being away for so long, it appears that Pastor Clayton isn't pleased that Yolande's attention is no longer on him. And, as Yolande and Patrick talk, he is shocked to learn that Denise Fox (Diane Parish) is now living with Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden). So he decides to waste no time in confronting cheating Jack Branning (Scott Maslen) when he finds out why.
However, Denise is keen to keep some things back from Patrick - who she sees as a father figure - and asks Yolande not to tell him about her recent hospital stay. Unfortunately, Patrick gets the impression that they are both hiding something, which naturally leaves him suspicious. Patrick then decides to organises a meal with her, Chelsea (Zaraah Abrahams) and the kids in a bid to spend some quality time together and find out more.
And although Yolande is busy with the fundraiser, she agrees to attend. However, when Pastor Clayton interrupts she invites him to join them as well. Patrick
