EastEnders’ Amy Mitchell star Ellie Dadd’s life off screen including real age

On screen, viewers of EastEnders will know actress Ellie Dadd for her portrayal of Jack Branning and the late Roxy Mitchell’s daughter Amy Mitchell. Ellie is the fifth actress to play the troubled teen after arriving in Albert Square back in 2022, with a spokesperson for EastEnders saying at the time that she had been cast as her character prepares to “take on more challenging adult storylines” in future episodes. In fact, soon after arriving on our screens, Ellie was involved with a mental health storyline, which left viewers at home dubbing the episode one of the “most touching” plot they’d seen from the soap.
Away from the soap however, Ellie is a lot more different and the teen is often seen on social media sharing snaps of herself working on her performing skills or hanging out with her friends. While on EastEnders, Ellie’s character is just 14 years old, the actress is actually a fair bit older than her role and recently left fans shocked when she celebrated a milestone birthday. Back in March, the soap star took to Instagram where she posted a series of stunning pictures of herself in a white strapless ball gown as she posed in front of a deep sunset.
Captioning the carousel of snaps, she wrote: “Chapter 18 baby!!” followed by a white heart and champagne emoji. Fans of Ellie were quick to share messages of support for the star, though some also shared their shock at her real age. “How are you 18!! Hope you had the best day!,” one of her followers wrote alongside a series of emojis.
