DWP Disability Cost of Living payment for 2023 payment date, amount and who is eligible

People all across the country claiming certain disability benefits will be eligible to some extra cash in the summer.
According to the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP), over 6.5 million people will benefit from an extra £150. It comes after the chancellor announced his plans to encourage people with disabilities to work more with the scrapping of the Work Capability Assessment.

In order to be considered eligible, you must receive payments for one the following:
The qualifying date for eligibility is yet to be announced. It's important to note that payments will be made automatically so there is no need to apply if you believe you're eligible.
According to the government, most people will receive the £150 payment during the summer of 2023. A specific date has not yet been announced.
In some cases, you may receive the payment at a later date. This can happen if you're awarded an eligible benefit at a later date or you change the account our benefit or tax credits are paid into.
