Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson brought a hefty audience to last week’s Friday Night SmackDown.
The WWE veteran confronted Austin Theory, raking in 2.6M viewers on Fox. That’s up 23% versus the audience for Friday Night SmackDown the week before. Compared to a year ago, the audience was up 16%.
Among viewers 18-49, The Rock managed to boost Friday Night SmackDown to a 0.7 rating — which translates to about 918,000 total viewers. That marks a 33% increase week-over-week and is up 40% compared to a year ago.
It was also No. 1 on broadcast primetime on Friday among audiences 18 to 49 and 18 to 34.
WWE also shared The Rock’s return on social media, where it’s reportedly been viewed more than 100M times. Watch the clip below.
