While promoting season three, Karl opened up to Men’s Health about being around so many unclothed co-stars while on set.
“I mean, tonally, signing up to The Boys, you know what it is. You’re going to see and experience things watching The Boys that you won’t see on any other show because it dares to do and say the things that no other show can—and that’s part of the appeal,” he said.

The Boys” and premiering Sept. 29 on Prime Video, unfolds in that same anarchic loony-toons superhero universe. “The Boys” premiered in 2019 and has yet to waiver in delivering high satire, surrealism and ultra-violence wrapped in a spot-on commentary on American mores and politics in the 21st century (particularly on our preoccupation with social media).
Alison Herman TV Critic Is “The Boys” a satire of superhero franchises or a superhero franchise itself? Such is the question posed by a show that is, among other things, a cautionary tale about corporate monopoly that airs on Amazon.
