Diversity's Perri Kiely is thought to have "split" from his "first ever" girlfriend, Laura Smith, who he met on Dancing On Ice, after the pair dated for three years. Rumours of a split had been flying since January 2023, after eagle-eyed fans spotted a number of clues on social media that alluded to signs that the pair had gone their separate ways, including a cryptic post from Laura. The TV production assistant, who met Perri during his 2020 stint on ITVs Dancing On Ice, appeared to confirm the split on Valentine's Day, as she shared a snap of herself with her back to the camera and blonde curls cascading down her back as she clutched a bunch of flowers.
She captioned the post: "Alexa, play Flowers by Miley Cyrus," in reference to US star Miley Cyrus' recent breakup anthem hit, which says the words: "I can buy myself flowers, I can hold my own hand". Fans were quick to comment, with one asking: "Do you know if Perri Kiely and Laura are still together?" whilst someone else wrote: "Hope you're ok," as a third added: "You go girl." Following the post, a source confirmed the breakup to The Sun, saying: "They split just after Christmas when they realised they wanted different things.
"It's very sad because everyone thought they were perfect together and Perri was really loved up. "They aren't talking at the moment but Laura was determined to have a nice Valentine's Day without him." There have been plenty of hints about a breakup from the pair in recent weeks, as Laura took to Instagram to share a solo snap on New Year's Day, which was captioned: "A New Chapter." A few weeks ago, Perri, who won Britain's Got Talent with dance group Diversity in 2009, also fuelled speculation that he and Laura had split, as he posted pictures

David Byrne knows where he’s going and he knows where he’s been, and the former Talking Heads band leader and near EGOT winner is on his way to the Oscars again, 35 years after taking home the original score Academy Award for Bernardo Bertolucci’s The Last Emperor (which he shared with Ryuichi Sakamoto and Cong Su) with a song nomination for “This Is a Life” from A24’s 11x Oscar nominated Everything Everywhere All at Once which he co-wrote with the pic’s composers Son Lux and Mitski. If Byrne wins a second Oscar next Sunday, it doesn’t bring him closer to an EGOT; he needs an Emmy win to do that after two Grammys and a special Tony award for his Broadway showstopper American Utopia.
