Dermot O'Leary has spoken out about the concerning disappearance of Michael Mosley, sharing heartfelt sentiments on This Morning. During a segment on the popular daytime TV show, Dermot, alongside co-hosts Alison Hammond, Vanessa Feltz and Nick Ferrari, spoke about the troubling news.
A visibly moved Vanessa, who personally knows Michael, was comforted by Dermot as he said: "We can only hope and pray and send our love to all his loved ones that he's found." The mystery began when Michael, known for his diet books, vanished on the Greek island of Symi after a walk from St Nicholas Beach to Pedi last Thursday. His absence set off alarm bells when his agent disclosed that the 67 year old had not returned from his stroll.
Authorities have since been scouring the island, part of the Dodecanese archipelago, for any sign of him. A Facebook update from the local community revealed plans for a drone-equipped rescue team from Athens to join the extensive search efforts.
The Foreign Office acknowledged the gravity of the situation, with a spokesperson confirming on Thursday: "We are supporting the family of a British man who is missing in Greece and are in contact with the local authorities," reports the Mirror.
Vanessa couldn't hide her distress on air, and shared her heartfelt emotions about Michael. "It's so upsetting, I mean we've all interviewed and met him so many times, and I would say he's kind of like the embodiment of vitality", Vanessa expressed, clearly moved by Michael's infectious energy.
