Much loved TV doctor, Dr Michael Mosley, has sadly been missing since Wednesday after going for a walk on a Greek Island of Symi. The 67 year old TV doctor, known for his appearances on shows including Trust Me, I'm A Doctor as well as This Morning and The One Show was holidaying with his wife, Dr Clare Bailey, when he went missing, after going for a walk alone. His wife, whom he shares four alerted police after her husband failed to return by 7.30 in the evening.
A massive police search has since been launched.
The couple wed in 1987, and have four children, sons Dan, Alex and Jack, and daughter Kate. Clare, who works as a GP, and Michael met while at medical school and have been together for 44 years. "100 of us in the year and the Dean said four of you will marry, and I met Clare then," Michael told Sussex Living magazine in January.
Before meeting Clare, Michael 'never ate greens,' and his wife revealed she still has to hide chocolates from her hubby. "We say that he's a Labrador because they eat anything," she previously told The Times. "There were times when he would open a packet of biscuits and the whole lot would be gone." The couple live in Buckinghamshire, in a property built by the Cadbury family back in 1905.
Son Jack followed in his parents’ footsteps, as he works as a junior doctor, having worked on the front line during the Covid-19 pandemic. Alex is the eldest of the four children, at 33, and in a similar industry to his parents, previously helped set up a digital health start-up business. He now works for a marketing consultancy firm.
Their son Dan fled the nest to live and study in Melbourne, Australia, before returning home in 2020 when the pandemic hit.
