In a shocking turn of events, CCTV footage suggests that TV doctor Michael Mosley did indeed make it across the coastal path into the nearby town.
The surveillance footage shows Dr Mosley on the main road of Pedi at 13.50pm on Wednesday afternoon, approximately 20 minutes after he is believed to have hiked a coastal route. Until now, many speculated that he may have fainted or fallen off a cliff during the walk.
The CCTV was shared by local site MEGA after being retrieved by police who have been "combing" the island of Symi, where the presenter was holidaying with his wife Dr Clare Bailey.
A second image, exclusively shared with The Mirror, was captured on surveillance cameras outside the Blue Corner Cafe on Pedi Beach. It shows Dr Mosley shielding himself from the sun with an umbrella as he walks past.
Greek police are currently engaged in a major search and rescue operation on Symi, the small eastern Aegean island. Despite their best efforts, they have yet to locate the British doctor.
On Friday, police announced that the coast guard, police and fire department were all involved in the search, with a helicopter, drones and a police sniffer dog deployed.
They have found no trace of the 67 year old who had been vacationing on the island.
The search for the missing personality was centred around Agios Nikolaos and the main town of Symi, after Mosley reportedly embarked on a walk from the coastal area.
The authorities even considered the possibility that he might have left the island, but there's no evidence to suggest he travelled under his name.
The UK's Foreign Office is liaising with Greek officials regarding the ongoing search. Mosley, a familiar face on British TV and radio, also pens a column for the Daily Mail.
