Confident Derek McInnes reckons most top flight teams feel they have a chance to bank a big result against the Old Firm these days.
The Kilmarnock boss guided his side to home wins over both Rangers and Celtic in the opening month of the season. And with the Hoops visiting Ayrshire on league duty tomorrow he hopes his players can produce a repeat of their Viaplay Cup success. McInnes said: “I think most teams now playing against the Old Firm feel there's a chance against them.
"The league is so tight. Celtic and Rangers obviously have a huge advantage over everyone else in the league and that's probably never going to change. But I think teams now have to go into games with them with a good mindset. Celtic and Rangers have both dropped points to different teams this season and any sort of positive result against them is something most teams feel they can achieve.

It looked like a potential big upset but Celtic turned up second half and showed how good they can be. You have to make it difficult for them because they normally win when they enjoy the game."
A Marley Watkins goal was the difference when the two sides collided in the cup back in August. The Hoops exacted revenge on Kilmarnock with a 3-1 win in the Premiership at Celtic Park in October. But McInnes will be drawing on the memory of the cup victory and said: "It helps with the messaging to the players. Physically we always finish games strong. We got the last-minute winner the other night and that wasn't down to luck,
