Dancing on Ice's Greg Rutherford reveals horror moment 'everything went wrong' and painful injury cut him from final

Greg Rutherford has shared the moment he suffered a painful injury that saw him have to be cut from the Dancing on Ice final. The Olympian was due to perform last weekend alongside partner Vanessa James as the ITV skating competition came to an end.
But hours before the live Dancing on Ice final was due to take place last Sunday (March 10) there was drama as Greg had to pull out because of a "significant injury". Hours before the show, Vanessa posted a photo of the pair on Instagram, saying they were on the way to the hospital after Greg was injured during rehearsals.
Host Holly Willoughby said at the time that everyone was "completely gutted" that Greg had to pull out of the show hours before facing Adele Roberts, Ryan Thomas and Miles Nazaire in the final round of the show. Co-host Stephen Mulhern said he was "so sorry" for Rutherford and sent him well wishes before actor Ryan later dedicated his win to the sportsman.

Greg has since been offering small updates on his recovery but a week on and the 37-year-old looked back on what could have been as he shared rehearsal footage of his and Vanessa's show dance that they would have performed. But the clip also featured the moment he suffered the injury that left him in hospital and his stomach "in a bad way."
