Props week on ITV's Dancing On Ice saw the first four tens of the series going to Brendan Cole for a beautiful routine in the rain with partner Vanessa.The couple wowed judges, as did the other contestants as they integrated "dangerous" props into their skating routines. Unfortunately for Corrie icon Sally Dynevor it was her time to go home as she and partner Matt Evers were voted off after a tense skate against BMX racer Kye Whyte and his partner Tippy Packard. Bez has been eliminated from Dancing on Ice, along with professional partner Angela Egan. The competition hopeful landed in the dreaded skate-off against Sally Dynevor in musicals week. However, despite managing to dodge the skate-off until tonight, the pair’s time was up.
All five judges chose to save Sally and her partner Matt Evers, as they labelled her skate ‘beautiful. ’But Bez didn’t let the result dampen his spirits as he looked back on his time in the competition. Host Holly Willoughby said: ‘You have given us so much fun.
We have loved watching you skate every week. ’‘I’ve loved every moment and I wish I could go to the ice rink at Christmas and put in a decent shift!’ Bez replied. It came after Angela suffered a slip-up herself in the routine, falling midway through their survival skate.
She made light of the moment after, telling viewers: ‘I can’t believe I fell!’Tonight saw Bez end up at the bottom of the leaderboard after paying homage to rocker Meat Loaf, who died in January. Despite throwing everything and the kitchen sink at the routine, he only ended up with 22. 5 points from the five panellists this evening.
Oti Mabuse and guest judge Dame Arlene Phillips both gave the pair a four, whilst Ashley Banjo offered up 4. 5. Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean were slightly more generous, both awarding Bez five points each.
Next weekend will see the remaining couples have to face new challenges as they take on props week. But who will find themselves in the bottom two as the competition continues to get tougher and tougher?Dancing On Ice continues on Sunday at 6. 30 on ITV.
