Dancing On Ice viewers were left taken-aback when presenter Phillip Schofield made a direct reference to Sally Dynevor's blunder during Sunday night's show. The Coronation Street actress had been tasked with a solo skating segment during the show, as Olympic pros Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean fought to get Sally improving in her technique and confidence.

Dancing to The Sound of Music for musicals week on the ITV competition, Sally and her professional skating partner Matt Evers were set to attempt a lift and then the actress would have let go afterwards. What actually transpired was something quite different, and Sally didn't end up attempting the lift at all during this week's show, which saw Bez eliminated.

Pointing out the possible reason for the low numbers, Phillip immediately chimed in: "But assisted jumps, you didn't want to let go?" "No, I know I didn't," Sally replied, clearly taken-aback by the presenter's suggestion.

Determined to encourage his partner, Matt declared Sally was a "national treasure", and the judges worked on giving the star practical advice moving forward. But viewers weren't so willing to let the awkward moment slide.
