Dan Walker slams 'bitter' Piers Morgan as they continue war of words

Dan Walker and Piers Morgan continued their ongoing fued over Twitter on Thursday as they exchanged a brutal war of words. The Channel 5 news anchor hit back after Piers had accused him of 'milking' injuries from his recent near-fatal accident bike crash - even describing him as 'bitter'.
But not backing down to a verbal fight, Dan quipped back that it was actually his Talk TV rival who was bitter, as he referenced his frequent berating of Meghan Markle. Since 2018, Piers has written a number of columns about Meghan - after claiming that her husband Prince Harry 'ruined' his friendship with the former actress.
The social media feud began when Dan took to the stage at the RTS Television Journalism Awards on Wednesday - making a thinly-veiled swipe at long-term rival Piers. He said to the crowd: 'It could be a fun night everybody, OK? I'd like to apologise in advance for anything that I might say that is near the knuckle my idea of where the knuckle is has completely changed within the last ten days.
'To give you an idea of my mental state, let me put it this way: if a weather presenter were to question me in any way, shape, or form, I'm liable to storm off stage in an enormous huff,' continued Dan – an obvious reference to Piers famously walking off Good Morning Britain. As Press Gazette shared an article with a round up of the night, and tagged Piers in the tweet promoting the piece - the broadcaster was quick to get his own say.
