A dad has been ridiculed for trying to sell a sofa on social media for £750, despite it being covered in permanent marker drawings by his children.
The DFS leather cream three-seater for sale has two reclining seats. However, the sofa has been scribbled all over with a black marker pen, including drawings of cars on one of the cushions.
There is barely an area on the couch which is not marked - and similar scribbles can be seen on the wall behind the piece of furniture in the lounge, reports the Mirror.
Despite this, Esfandiar Aria has brazenly listed the sofa for sale and is asking for £750 for the item on Facebook Marketplace, reduced from £1,250, with the buyer to collect from Luton.
Claiming the sofa is just months old, he added: “There is nothing wrong with it except what you see. “This is a beautiful creamy Winston three-seat sofa from DFS. Used only for a few months. Recliners: Electric/ automatic.
“Reason for selling: My little one drew all over it with black ink permanent marker. There is nothing wrong with it except what you see.”
Facebook Marketplace shoppers were left in stitches at the listing. Shopper Andy McCabe said: “This is art.” One said: “Being a father of a sweet girl I can relate.”
Another person said: “Banksy - referring to the famous street artist.” Another added: “Get it in a gallery. Should take it to a modern art gallery and sell it for £5,000,000."
