Coronation Street star Tony Maudsley had nothing but good things to say about one of his co-stars after he came to his rescue. The actor took to Twitter to share how he'd gotten himself in a bit of a muddle and had when he needed to be on the set of the ITV soap wrong.
But Tony, who plays Goerge Shuttleworth in Corrie, knew just who to call. The soap star roped in the assistance of Daniel Brocklebank, who is known for playing Billy Mayhew in the long-running show.
Explaining his predicament, Tony said: "Who else are you going to call when you've c**ked up your shifts at work and need someone to pick up your dog from the groomers?"

Alongside a picture of Daniel sat alongside his beloved pooch, he added: "Well the local vicar of course!!! @Dan_Brocklebank you're a diamond! xxx." And it appears Dan was more than happy to oblige as he reshared the post and said: "My absolute pleasure," alongside a red love heart.
Corrie's newest star Claire Sweeney also replied: "Love this," before fans rushed to comment on the sweet snap. @MJ_JJ061215 said: "What a pair of cuties." @jane_spargo wrote: "Gorgeous both of them." @LESLEYLONDON laughed: "Nice cut. Dan is a known dog lover and introduced his newest pet back in April. Taking to Instagram, the 43-year-old shared an image of himself smiling for the camera while holding on to a little Daschund pup, who he'd named Dorris, and who joins his two other Daschunds Colin and Jean.
