Coronation Street fans were more concerned with health and safety than the storylines in tonight's (Wednesday) episode. There was emotional family drama as Audrey finally found out the truth about her beloved son Stephen stealing all the equity in her house.
But while viewers were stunned to see her discover this crime - but remain unaware that he is also a murderer - something more startling happened. And it's fair to say it put a few of them right off their dinner.
Roy Cropper had been intending to walk back to Roy's Rolls via the canal when he was warned about forensic activity. A few scenes later, we saw Roy at the cafe explaining what was in place.

"The forensics at the canal..." he explained looking at a picture on a phone, adding: "The white tent would suggest a fatality. Freddie, paw."
Shocking as the idea of a death in Weatherfield was, viewers were more concerned with what was going on in front of him - Freddie the pooch was on the table.
