Coronation Street's Channique Sterling-Brown teases new storyline for Dee-Dee Bailey after fans' demands

Coronation Street star Channique Sterling-Brown appears to have already answered fans' demands as she teased a new storyline for her character. The actress has revealed that Dee-Dee Bailey's love life is set to be explored in upcoming scenes on the ITV soap.
"I think we're going to see Dee-Dee in a new light. We're going to see her go on a bit of a dating journey," Channique, who made her debut on the cobbles last year and has since won Best Newcomer at the British Soap Awards, revealed to Digital Spy as the soap star posed up a storm on a glam photoshoot for Inside Soap.
Corrie fans will remember that Dee-Dee did have some interest from bad boy Damon Hay - before he set his sight's on her bosses wife Sarah Barlow which lead to an affair between the pair.

She continued: "Her life is a mixture of fun but chaos, and I think fans will really enjoy seeing her try to navigate that world. When she's in the courtroom, she's totally in control. I think it's going to be really fun to see her struggle to quite work things out, so that's what we've got coming up."
But Channique added: "What's great about her is she doesn't need a man. She's very independent and hard-working, but almost to a fault sometimes. She's probably missed all sorts of romantic opportunities because she's had her head either in the clouds or in the courtroom! I think it's going to be really exciting to see her work all of that out, have a bit of fun and put herself first."
