A paternity test later and it was revealed that Damon was the dad, however, Sarah's uncle Stephen Reid intercepted the second results letter, after already fishing the first torn-up one out of the bin, and doctored it before it reached Adam's hands.
Sarah, confused, ended up going along with Adam believing the unborn baby to be his before he discovered the truth just before hosting a surprise gender reveal for his wife. But in a cruel twist, as Sarah opened the balloon box to find out if it was a boy or a girl, a white balloon floated up emblazoned with the words "It's Damon's."
Horrified and embarrassed in front of her family, Sarah was quick to assume it was a cruel trick played by her secret love interest but a heartbroken Adam stepped forward and confirmed he was responsible for the balloon and, pulling out the letter from the clinic, announced that it was fake, just like his wife.
