Coronation Street fans have been left heartbroken and have asked soap bosses 'what have you done' as one of the ITV soap's much-loved friendships appears to be over.
As fans of the long-running show know, Lauren Bolton been missing for several weeks having last been seen on February 23 after being sacked from her job at Roy's Rolls by Roy Cropper. The cafe owner later visited her with her wages and some extra cash to tide her over.
But soon after, the teen was visited at home by a mystery person who viewers never got to see and she hasn't been seen in Weatherfield since as new love interest and Carla Connor's nephew Bobby found her flat unlocked and eerily empty.

But the missing person case soon became a murder probe when blood was found in Lauren's flat. Roy quickly became DS Lisa Swain's prime suspect after it emerged he was the last person to see her alive and his fingerprints were then found on a condom wrapper in the flat after he misguidedly gave it a deep clean to help sub-letter Evelyn Plummer.
Roy has since been charged with Lauren's murder and was later refused bail following a scuffle with one of the many internet sleuths who have been targeting him over Lauren's possible death.
And despite his initial suspicion of Roy, Bobby has since tried to help Roy after seeing his aunt's concern for her friend and lied to the police about seeing a man leaving Lauren's flat - and it wasn't Roy. Carla has since discovered and gone along with her nephew's lie to try and help Roy and protect Bobby.
