Coronation Street star Cait Fitton has been supported by her friends and followers as she shared an emotional message on social media. The actress rejoined the soap back in June after a previous short stint on the cobbles which started in November last year.
She started out in the ITV soap as Max Turner's love interest as he was groomed by her dad's gang, led by racist eco-warrior Griff Reynolds. The far-right extremist and his cronies terrorised Alya Nazir and councillor Maria Connor amid her plans for a refugee centre.
They also targeted Daryan Zahawi, who was brutally attacked by racist thugs while working at Alya's restaurant Speed Daal before leaving the cobbles. The gang also planted a bomb in the middle of the street before Griff was finally caught. But not before they inspired another attack by teenage Blake who stabbed Alya as she jumped in to save Maria.

However, Max refused and later, Reece was sentenced to 16 years in prison and Lauren has since appeared to be struggling to find her way in the world.
The actress who plays her, meanwhile, has been looking back at how far she has come as she relishes in being back on the famous cobbles. Taking to Instagram, Cait shared a video which featured home footage of her as a young girl.
She then blended the videos into ones she has taken
