Crime scene investigators and specialist officers remain at the scene of a double stabbing in Manchester city centre - with a police cordon still in place.
A major investigation was launched after the incident happened on Dale Street at around 6.30pm on Wednesday (August 16). Two men - one aged in his 20s and one aged in his 30s - were rushed to hospital after being knifed.
One of them is fighting for his life, while the other is in a serious but stable condition. According to Greater Manchester Police's public incident portal, the incident is being treated as attempted murder.

Today, police tape remains in place off Dale Street near a stretch of the Rochdale Canal. Pictures show forensic officers carrying out investigations, with Tactical Aid Unit officers also on the scene.
Multiple police vehicles are stationed nearby. Three males were arrested on Wednesday night on suspicion of section 18 assault.
Police said yesterday that a 21-year-old man remained in custody. No further updates have been released since.
The other two males were released without charge.
