Coleen Nolan has shared a positive update on her sister Linda's cancer battle, after doctors recently told her there is shrinkage on her tumours.
The Loose Women star, 58, appeared on Good Morning Britain on Monday, 11 December, where she discussed her older sister Linda, 64, who was first diagnosed with incurable secondary breast cancer on her pelvis in 2017. In March, Linda sadly announced her cancer had spread to her brain.
However, the actress has since shared the happy news that her tumours have shrunk as she looks forward to celebrating Christmas with her family. Coleen revealed her sibling is "doing so well" following the news, and looks "great".
"She's doing so well," Coleen told GMB hosts Susanna Reid and Ed Balls. "I said to her 'I am not sure you’re not winding me up with this and it’s just great publicity,' Because she looked great." Coleen went on to add: "I have to be honest this time when she went for scans we thought - and we didn't vocalise it - but we thought 'I don't think this is going to be a good one.' "She seemed to have gone down a bit and then they [the doctors] came back and said it had gone down and shrunk, it was such a lift." Coleen's update comes after Linda appeared on GMB earlier in December to discuss her cancer battle and the festive season, as she admitted she hadn't expected to make this Christmas.
Hosts Ben Shepherd and Susanna Reid asked Linda about still being able to laugh and joke with her sisters - Coleen, Maureen, Denise and Anne Nolan - and brother Brian, despite her bleak diagnosis. Linda said: "There's two ways you can deal with this, you can be fun and get on with your life.
