Love Island star Chloe Burrows has opened up about her bad history with dating apps, revealing that she was catfished online before going on the ITV2 reality show. The 27-year-old, who is taking part in the new series of E4's Celebs Go Dating, told OK! that she's sworn off dating apps after being duped online by a catfish - a person pretending to be someone else. "I was on Hinge in lockdown.
Before Love Island, I got catfished so that wasn't great," she said. "I like to meet people in person, I am loud and gregarious so if they can come up to me and meet me then that says a lot. "People have got a lot of chat online and then they are boring in person.
My previous exes – I met one at Notting Hill Carnival and then through mutual friends." She added: "Online is not for me, there are too many horror stories out there, catfishing, girlfriends, all that jazz." The reality star is taking part in Celebs Go Dating alongside fellow Love Islander Adam Collard, Made in Chelsea's Mark-Francis Vandelli, model Lottie Moss, comedian Spuddz and radio presenter Vanessa Feltz. They'll be matched with members of the public by the show's dating experts - Paul Carrick Brunson, Anna Williamson and new addition to the show Dr.Tara. Speaking about signing up for the show, Chloe revealed that she wasn't ready to unpack her "really rocky and tumultuous" dating history with the experts. "I have had situationships, rollercoaster rides...
not that fun. My previous relationship was really good, so I have got that as a standard now," she added. Chloe was in a relationship with her fellow Love Island star Toby Aromolaran after leaving the villa in 2021, however the pair broke up in October last year.
