Watch the video for Party Dozen’s Nick Cave-featuring single ‘Macca The Mutt’

Party Dozen have shared the official video for their latest single, ‘Macca The Mutt’, which features guest vocals from Nick Cave.Released today (May 23), the clip features shots of Party Dozen destroying cars in a yard, interspersed with clips of them performing live in a dingy warehouse, in front of cars being crushed, from the back of a truck, and in more assorted settings.Cave isn’t seen up close in the video, though it’s possible he appears as one of the faceless characters shown throughout. Though the artist’s contribution to the song itself comes in the last minute or so, he’s vigorous as he melodically chants the lyrics: “I got a mutt, I got a mutt, I got a mutt / Got a mutt, got a mutt called Macca“.Watch the video below:‘Macca The Mutt’ was released earlier this month and is lifted from Party Dozen’s forthcoming third album, ‘The Real Work’.Marked for release on July 8 via Temporary Residence (and by Grupo in Australia and New Zealand), Party Dozen – comprised of Kirsty Tickle and Jonathan Boulet – have already released two singles from ‘The Real Work’.

Why The Lonely Island’s Akiva Schaffer Wanted to Direct ‘Chip ‘n Dale: Rescue Rangers’

“Chip ‘n Dale: Rescue Rangers” are back. Not the beloved syndicated television series, which ran for three seasons and 65 episodes from 1989 to 1990 as part of the Disney Afternoon weekday programming block, mind you, but the live-action/animated adventure directed by The Lonely Island’s Akiva Schaffer. This new movie takes place in a world where Chip (John Mulaney) and Dale (Andy Samberg) were stars of that long-ago TV show and have now grown apart, improbably brought together to solve a mystery that personally impacts their cartoon world (Monterey Jack, now voiced by Eric Bana, is missing).

‘Chip ‘n Dale: Rescue Rangers’ Review: The Fuzzy Adventurers Are Back — But Different — In a Very Meta Disney Reboot

Amy Nicholson If only Andy Warhol had lived to see “Chip ‘n Dale: Rescue Rangers,” the cinematic culmination of the Campbell’s soup can painter’s meta-commentary on the blurring of art and commerce. This frenetic and funny crossbreeding of live action and cartoon is both a reboot and an anti-reboot, a corporate-funded raspberry at corporate IP, and a giddily dumb smart aleck committed to mocking its joke — and making it, too.Director Akiva Schaffer, a producer and occasional helmer, has already helped to invert the meathead action flick (“MacGruber”), the rock biopic (“Pop Star: Never Stop Never Stopping”), the time-loop comedy (“Palm Springs”) and, of course, the music video as one-third of The Lonely Island, co-founded with his middle school friends Andy Samberg and Jorma Taccone, both of whom voice characters here.
