Full line-up for Nick Cave And The Bad Seeds’ All Points East show announced

Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, Nina Kravitz and more.Put together by the organisers of Spain’s Bilbao BBK Live, the inaugural edition of the Spanish festival takes place September 1-3, 2022 in the town of Mijas, just south of Malaga.Arctic Monkeys, Liam Gallagher, Chemical Brothers and Kraftwerk were previously confirmed as headliners, with other names on the bill including Marc Rebillet, Röyksopp, Hot Chip, Chet Faker and Blossoms.Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds will now headline alongside Chemical Brothers and Kraftwerk on the Friday (September 2).

Duran Duran have announced the full line-up for their BST Hyde Park show next month, with AURORA and Laura Mvula among some of the additions.The pop legends headline the show at London’s Hyde Park on July 10, with Nile Rodgers & Chic previously confirmed to support. Now, Warmduscher, Charlotte Adigéry, Rozzi, Stacey Ryan, Faux Real and Love Sick have been confirmed as additional supports alongside AURORA and Mvula.Duran Duran frontman Simon Le Bon said: “It’s an extraordinary line-up – it so happens that I’ve featured five of the acts on my radio show, WHOOOSH! – looks like I’ll be spending the entire day dipped in music.”Bassist John Taylor added: “We are incredibly excited for Hyde Park with so many sensational guests like Aurora and Warmduscher, and our old friends Nile Rodgers & CHIC.

Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds have been announced as the final headliners of Portugal’s MEO KALORAMA Festival.The inaugural edition of the festival will take place from September 1-3 at Bela Vista Park in Lisbon.Joining The Chemical Brothers and Arctic Monkeys at the top of the bill will be Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, who will headline the final night of MEO KALORAMA Festival on September 3.Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds’ performance will come ahead of sets from Disclosure, Chet Faker, Ornatos Violeta, Meute, Peaches and Club Makumba on September 3.The likes of Kraftwerk, James Blake, Bonobo, Róisín Murphy, Years & Years and Blossoms will also perform at MEO KALORAMA Festival this year.

Nick Cave is set to appear as an animated version of himself alongside Swedish rocker Thåström in new TV series Before They Were Gods.The show will be directed by Swedish director and writer Måns Mårlind (The Bridge) and is being developed by the Yellow Bird production company from Banijay.According to The Hollywood Reporter, Before They Were Gods is set “in an imaginary world, in which the two musicians were close friends as 14-year-olds, before they would turn into major rock gods.”The report adds that “the series sees the two search for the ultimate truth, everlasting beauty, and cheap wine. Sometimes they find it, but mostly not.

Nick Cave And The Bad Seeds played Primavera Sound Festival last night (June 4) and dedicated a song to Cave’s two sons.Before performing ‘I Need You’, from 2016’s ‘Skeleton Tree’, Nick Cave told the crowd “This is a song I want to dedicate to my two boys, Luke and Earl. They’re probably over there waiting for Bauhaus to begin.”“Hang on, is my hair alright,” he joked after the emotional performance, before performing ‘Waiting For You’ from 2019’s ‘Ghosteen‘.Yesterday’s show was only the second gig Nick Cave has played since the death of his son Jethro Lazenby, after The Bad Seeds headlined Northside Festival earlier this week. Jethro passed away at the start of May at the age of 31.

The girlfriend of Nick Cave’s late son, Jethro Lazenby, has spoken out for the first time since his death.  Lazenby died on May 9 at the age of 31 just days after he was released from jail on bail after admitting to attacking his mother Beau Lazenby.  The model was reportedly found at a motel in northern Melbourne, Australia, but a cause of death has not been revealed.

6 Music stage at this year’s All Points East festival will feature performances from Gilles Peterson, Norman Jay, Sherelle and more.Returning to the Victoria Park festival as official broadcast partners, 6 Music has today (May 25) announced the line-up for its stage at the two-weekend event, taking place August 19-20 and August 25-28.Peterson along with fellow 6 Music presenters Mary Anne Hobbs, Tom Ravenscroft, AFRODEUTSCHE, Jamz Supernova and Don Letts will curate the stage; each presenter will also perform DJ sets themselves on the days they oversee.Acts performing on the stage across the two festival weekends include Benji B, Colleen “Cosmo” Murphy, LUXE, Nabihah Iqbal, Nia Archives, Planningtorock, Shy One, Tash LC & Mina and more.“After our hugely successful first year of welcoming BBC Radio 6 Music as All Points East’s broadcast partner in 2021, it’s brilliant to have them back hosting the 6 Music stage,” Jim King, CEO of European Festivals at AEG Presents, said in a press release.

Nick Cave has spoken out for the first time since the death of his son Jethro Lazenby.  The model and actor died on May 9 at the age of 31, seven years after the death of another of Cave’s sons, Arthur, in 2015 after he fell from a cliff in Brighton at the age of 15. At the time of the announcement, Cave, 64, asked for privacy to grieve his loss but has now shared a lengthier message after being flooded with messages of support from fans.

Nick Cave has sent a thank-you note to his fans in the wake of his son’s death.Jethro Lazenby died aged 31 earlier this month, with Cave issuing in a statement to NME: “We would be grateful for family privacy at this time.”A fan has now written to Cave, as featured on the artist’s The Red Hand Files blog, saying that they were sending “collective love” on behalf of all his fans amid the recent tragedy.“I have no question for you today,” Teresa from Australia wrote. “I just wanted to send my heartfelt condolences on the tragic loss of Jethro.
