Charley Webb has told fans she is 'so excited' as she was supported over her latest career news. The former Emmerdale actress is set to make her stage debut later this year in the national tour of James Graham’s smash hit play Quiz.
Bury-born Charley, who is famed for having played Debbie Dingle in the ITV soap, will join the cast in her first professional stage role and will be showing off her live acting skills in her home city as the play comes to The Lowry, Salford, from October 24 to October 28 2023.
She'll be joining renowned comedian Rory Bremner in the critically acclaimed play as he stars as Chris Tarrant. Alongside them will be Lewis Reeves, who appeared in I May Destroy You and The Midwich Cuckoos, and TV star of hits including Northern Lights, Waterloo Road and most recently Shakespeare and Hathaway: Private Investigators, Mark Benton.

Taking to Instagram to confirm the news, Charley shared a picture of her headshot on a poster for the play and wrote: "I’ve been so excited to announce this. I’ll be making my stage debut in Quiz as Diana Ingram, written by the amazing @misterjamesgraham
"We’re opening in @chichesterft on Friday 22nd September and we’ll be going on tour for 9 weeks to some amazing theatres. Very nervous but very excited. Link in my bio. Who’s coming?"
