Channel 4 Hollyoaks star quits soap telling bosses it's 'time to move on'

ITV's latest drama Passenger began airing on 24 March and instantly had viewers gripped.The six-part series is set in a fictional town called Chadder Vale and explores a tight-knit community which shares a distrust of outsiders. The town is proving boring for D.I. Riya Ajunwa, who is tired of solving petty crimes.

Following his arrest for his involvement in a robbery, Coronation Street's Damon Hay has bid farewell to the cobbles for good.The character, portrayed by Ciaran Griffiths, has exited the ITV soap after a two-year stint. Ciaran, 41, joined Corrie in 2022 as Damon and has been involved in some big storylines - most notably his affair with Sarah Platt (Tina O'Brien) which caused her marriage to Adam Barlow (Sam Robertson) to end. However, having plead guilty to all charges after his arrest, Damon said goodbye to Sarah for good in Friday's (29 March) episode.

Capital Radio has been dealt another blow as a top presenter has broken the news that they'll also be stepping down from their show just a day after Roman Kemp's exit. Will Njobvu, who hosts for Capital XTRA, announced that he will be leaving his Saturday breakfast show following a "tough" decision as he moves forward to "focus on new opportunities elsewhere." It comes after fellow presenter Roman emotionally thanked his listeners at Capital FM for their support during his struggle with depression as he marked his last day on the Breakfast Show following a successful ten-year stint.

BBC News star Robin Brant has revealed that he's leaving the channel after 20 years as a correspondent.The broadcaster took to social media to share the sad news. Writing on X, formerly known as Twitter, he said: "NEWS ABOUT ME: I’m moving on from @BBCNews.This weekend will be my last, after 20+ years on the staff.

Earlier this year, Steve was left heartbroken when he found out that his wife Tracy had been secretly seeing Tommy after they met in the flower shop on Christmas Day.Tracy's affair has left Steve, their daughter Amy, played by Elle Mulvaney, and Tracy's dad Ken Barlow, played by Bill Roache, all very upset.

Hollyoaks has allegedly axed 20 cast members in a huge shake-up.The hit E4 soap is undergoing some major changes, with many stars set to exit the show in the coming months. As well as axing several characters, Hollyoaks is moving to a streaming first strategy - where episodes will drop online before they air on TV. It's also been announced that there will be only three episodes per week of the soap come September.

DI Neville Parker will be exiting Death in Paradise in upcoming scenes, it's been reported. Actor Ralf Little is reportedly leaving his role in the BBC drama after five years. Ralf, 44, has been playing DI Neville Parker since 2020.

Ross spoke to Metro about exit and revealed that he turned down the offer to stay on the soap. “They [Hollyoaks] were kind enough to offer me another contract, but last year I did a documentary about adoption and I really enjoyed doing that," he shared.
