A dog and cat have died after a fire broke out in a block of flats in Grangemouth.
Emergency services rushed to Oxgang Road in the town shortly before 12.30pm this afternoon after smoke was spotted coming from a house on the ground floor.
Firefighters using breathing apparatus entered the building to battle the flames.
Residents trapped in properties above were told stay down on the floor until crews got to them.

Three fire engines and a number of cops dealt with the incident.
A woman who lives on the street told Falkirk Live: "This is just tragic. The smoke was blowing in my window and at first I thought it was my house that on on fire.
"But I looked out and could see noting but smoke. I knew then it wasn't my place.
"I feel terrible for those who live in there. I could see the fire brigade giving the wee dog CPR.
"My heart is breaking."
A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "We were alerted at 12.25pm on Tuesday, January 18 to reports of a dwelling fire at Oxgang Road, Grangemouth.
"Operations Control mobilised three fire appliances and firefighters extinguished a fire affecting a property.
"No people were injured but one cat and one dog sadly passed away.
"Our thoughts are with everyone affected."
